Well that was fast! 2017 has come and gone, but not without bringing heaps of change to the Crazy Lawson Tribe. We are so thankful for God’s provision, leading, and favor as we stepped out in faith this year to take our family of five from military life (all we’ve ever known) to another continent and adding another family member in the mix! We just wanted to share some of the highlights from over this year, and our prayer for you for 2018.

January- Last day of work. Moved out of our house in FL, and said goodbye to Pensacola.

February- Spent the day before we hop on a plane in the ER with Dorothy Mae. Began our journey to Thailand with a stop in Kauai to visit with our dear friends, the Beans, and adventure the beauty that is Kauai. Celebrated Dorothy Mae’s 2nd Birthday with Wailua Shave Ice.

March- Arrived in Khon Kaen to our new home. Said goodbye to our mentors, Bill and Julie, who were returning to the states for furlough.

April- Celebrated Easter at a local Thai Church. Began full time language learning. Bought a van.

May- Crossed the border to Laos for a visa run and started the long process of obtaining a 1 year visa.

June- Took a family trip to Rayong and celebrated Addie’s 7th birthday.

July- Welcomed our fourth daughter with an unassisted home birth. She has proven to be the perfect addition to our family!

August- Celebrated Chris’s 29th birthday. Danny and Judy, the Directors of Interns at Globe International, came to visit.

September- Traveled to Bangkok to register Frannie for her US citizenship and applied for her passport. Visited the Khon Kaen Zoo for Emma’s 5th Birthday.

October- Welcomed back our mentors, Bill and Julie, from their furlough in the states. Chris began to focus in on his involvement with the village ministry.

November- Our friends, the Greenwades, came to visit for 3 weeks and celebrate Thanksgiving and Whitney’s 27th birthday.

December- Celebrated our first Christmas in Thailand. Saw Thai Santa. Secured our one year renewable visas.

We are entering into 2018 with greater expectation, deeper vision, full of love, hope and faith that God is relentlessly pursuing the Thai people and He is bring redemption and restoration to His children here. We are humbled we get to be part of what God is doing in Southeast Asia, and even more astonished by the overwhelming love and support of YOU! Thank you all so much for your gifts, support, and prayers. We couldn’t do this without you, and we are so blessed by all that you are investing in us, and in God’s Kingdom here on earth.

Our prayer for you, for 2018, is that God pours out His unfailing love on you (Eph. 3:18), that you encounter Him in a tangible way, that you seek Him with your whole heart, and that you would find Him (Jer. 29:13). We also pray He would put a hunger for His word in your hearts (Col. 3:16), that your heart would overflow with thanksgiving. We are believing God will reveal His plans to you with clear direction (Ps. 119:105). We are praying perfect peace over you (Isa. 26:3), and increase in faith and favor. May you be empowered by Holy Spirit to go unto all the world, preaching the Good News to all creation (Mark 16:15).

We love you dearly! Thank you for an amazing year!
